Duties
- Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- ·Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries about services.
- Take minutes during behavioral health meetings, as needed.
- Check phone messages regularly.
- Must remain in confidentiality compliance at all times.
- Must be able to use effective customer service techniques with upset patients.
- Must be able to remain calm under pressure, be assertive but not combative, and utilize behavioral health experience when working with the adult and pediatric patients.
- Must be able to work independently at times while adhering to all the policies and procedures.
- Exhibit the balance of being able to resolve issues while staying within the scope of the job duties/expertise.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers.
- Work closely with staff members and be a team player
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional duties include backing up the medical assistant to the psychiatrist on days when she is out and providing additional support when needed.
- Complete patient vital signs and documents appropriately in to EHR.
- Act as liaison between psychiatrists and other departments. · Coordinates providers schedule as requested.
- Assist in taking care of urgent needs of patients.
Requirements:
- · Work Schedule Full-Time: M-F, 8:30AM-5:30PM
- · High School graduate of equivalent.
- · Previous experience working in customer service.
- · Scheduling experience preferred.
- · 1 years of medical office preferred but not required.
- · Intermediate computer skills.
- · BLS CPR certification. (Can do CPR through our Clinic!)
