Medical Assistant-Behavioral Health

Job Summary:This position is primarily responsible for ensuring high quality and continuity in the provision of comprehensive primary medical care services. The RMA/CMA is utilized in performing typical front and back office clinical functions. The RMA/CMA is under the overall on-site supervision of the Practice Administrator.

Environmental Hazards:Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and assist patients both adults and children, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:

• Currently Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant
• Current CPR certification
• High school diploma/GED
• Valid Oklahoma Driver's License
  
  

Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow.
• Excellent customer service skills and good communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task while providing good patient care.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn new computer systems as needed.
• Primary skills include verbal and written communication with patients to promote continuity of care and follow-up as well as daily retrieval and scanning/filing of clinical encounter forms and reports for use by clinic staff during patient care activities.
  
  

Preferred:-Previous reception, scheduling, and medical records experience

• Previous experience with EPIC
