This position will require previous experience working with Electronic Medical Records, as well as advanced computer skills. The HIT will be expected to be organized, and be able to manage health information data by ensuring its quality, accuracy, accessibility, and security in both paper and electronic systems while maintaining the patient’s chart. He/she will also work with the providers and enter clinical information into electronic records relating to diseases, treatment, procedures and etc. Qualifications: The ideal candidate would possess an Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology or related field plus a minimum of 6 months work experience working in a clinic or hospital as a HIT. Coursework in the following is beneficial: medical terminology, coding, data analysis, security and management. Previous experience designing workflow processes for electronic health records a plus.
