Under the general supervision of the Nurse Clinic Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for rendering nursing care in assigned area in terms of individualized client needs according to dependent and independent nursing functions and conformance with recognized nursing techniques, procedures and established standards based on the scope of practical nursing under the supervision of the Primary Care Director. Duties: Prepares, administers and records oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular medications as ordered by providers or according to written standing orders. Responsible for providing pediatric and adult immunizations, assists with vaccine Inventory and general medicine inventories, medical waste management and policies, vaccine storage and safety, ordering vaccine, assists the Primary Care clinic with clinic operations including triaging, rooming, and taking vitals of patients. Performs nursing procedures such as, urinary catheterization, insertion, irrigations and wound changes and dressings, prior authorizations, phone triage calls. collects, labels and records specimens obtained, prepares examination rooms and tables for patient use, maintains and stocks laboratory and medical exam rooms with laboratory and/or medical supplies as necessary, dispenses medication under the supervision of the physician. Assists the physician with simple medical procedures such as IUD placement/removals, wound care, and other procedures, performs lab tests including rapid strep, mono, pregnancy, Hematocrits, Hemoglobin A1cs, and cholesterol, provides injections including depo and immunizations, participate on the agency's Quality Assurance Committee, makes appropriate referrals for high-risk clients to other health care professionals and programs, utilizes electronic health records system (EHR) to document all patient encounters. Qualifications: Current NM RN license in good standing. One year of nursing and EMR experience preferred. Bilingual in Spanish desirable. Work Type: Permanent, Full Who May Apply?
