Description
Teach classes in History at the Centerville Campus. Instructional staff will be expected to maintain a professional rapport between students and peers. The primary job function shall be establishing a classroom environment which is conductive to the advancement of student education. This instructor may teach such courses as History, Political Science, and Culture.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Master's degree required in History or related field required.
- For consideration from a related field: minimum of 12 graduate semester credits in a combination of qualifying fields that provide a foundation to the subject matter required.
- College Level teaching experience preferred.
- Must relate well to students and colleagues. Must demonstrate a high degree of competency within the discipline(s) to be taught.
- Demonstrated effectiveness working with population having diverse values and/or varied
Work Performed
- Teach courses in alignment with the objectives outlined by the assigned department.
- Maintain scheduled office hours for student consultations.
- Provide the immediate supervisor with a current schedule of teaching and office hours.
- Adhere to all scheduled classes and office commitments in a timely manner.
- Attend and actively participate in all faculty meetings, unless officially excused by the supervisor.
- Encourage and reinforce the importance of prompt and consistent class attendance.
- Prepare and submit accurate grade reports to the Registrar as required.
- Report students who may need academic or personal support to Student Services.
- Serve actively on assigned committees.
- Submit timely requisitions for instructional materials and resources.
- Maintain accurate inventories of classroom equipment and supplies.
- Promptly report any classroom or equipment repair needs.
- Participate in institutional evaluation and assessment processes.
- Engage in community relations activities when possible.
- Stay current with developments in the field and contribute to curriculum updates.
- Employ diverse instructional strategies, techniques, and delivery methods to address varied student learning styles.
- Foster positive and collaborative relationships with colleagues, local organizations, public officials, and community stakeholders.
- Proficient in the use of technology to improve educational delivery and research outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned
