Job Summary:
The Seasonal Shuttle Driver will be responsible for transporting employees between an offsite parking area and the country club during the busy summer months. Using a company vehicle, the driver will provide timely, safe, and efficient transportation to help employees get to the club quickly and avoid the longer walk from the parking area. The driver will also ensure that employees are transported back to their vehicles at the end of their shifts. This seasonal role runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day, coinciding with the peak season when offsite parking is required due to increased guest and employee traffic. The Shuttle Driver will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the club by ensuring employees can get to work promptly and easily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the company shuttle vehicle to transport employees between the offsite parking area and the country club.
- Ensure timely and efficient pick-up and drop-off of employees, minimizing wait times and ensuring they arrive at work promptly.
- Provide transportation for employees at the beginning and end of their shifts, ensuring they are returned to their vehicles safely after work.
- Maintain a clean and organized shuttle vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition throughout the seasonal period.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating the shuttle vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with employees to ensure smooth transportation operations and address any concerns or questions.
- Monitor parking areas and inform employees of any changes or updates regarding shuttle schedules or routes.
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Assist with any additional transportation needs or requests as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and safety guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with employees.
- Dependability and punctuality, with the ability to maintain a consistent and reliable schedule.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized while managing multiple pick-up and drop-off locations.
- Physical ability to assist passengers as needed and handle the demands of driving for extended periods.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Previous experience in a driving or transportation role, such as shuttle driver, bus driver, or delivery driver, is preferred.
- Experience working in a customer service-oriented environment is a plus, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with employees and guests.
- Prior experience operating large vehicles or multi-passenger vehicles is advantageous, but not required.
- Familiarity with local roads and the surrounding area is helpful for efficient route planning.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting is a plus to ensure the shuttle vehicle remains in good working condition throughout the season.
