This is skilled water safety work involving the prevention of accidents and injuries and responding with effective care and treatment to emergency situations at aquatic pool areas. Works independently with periodic supervision provided by the Facility Supervisor and or Aquatics Manager.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Safeguard patrons while maintaining skills at a rescue-ready level and monitoring pools for guest safety.Performs emergency water rescue techniques to assist persons in distress; performs CPR and administers standard first aid when necessary.Ensures general safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures are adhered to as it pertains to aquatic facilities.Assists with aquatics programs and equipment setup for special events.Ensures general upkeep, cleanliness, and appearance of aquatics amenities including pool areas, restrooms, showers, and deck areas.Performs related work as required.
