- Performs repairs to water distribution systems
- Installs and maintains service lines
- Operates a variety of trucks and equipment
- Operates a variety of hand and power tools
- Responds to after-hours calls when serving on-call.
High School Diploma / GEDValid driver’s license and good driving record
Must possess, or obtain within six (6) months of hire, a valid Florida Class "A" Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP)Must possess, or obtain within eighteen (18) months of hire, a valid Florida Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Knowledge of and skill in the use of materials, methods, practices, and equipment used in pipe fitting.
Knowledge of the construction and repair of utility facilities.
Knowledge of water and sewer systems.
Ability to work from sketches, maps, and blueprints.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Good physical ability.
Strength to do heavy lifting and carrying and to work under adverse weather conditions.
Ability to operate various types of power tools and equipment used to install, maintain, or repair utility mains and services.
Ability to work on-call.
