JOB SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for providing clerical assistance and support the CREATE program director. Organize and implement tasks specific to the IRSC CREATE program. Respond to program related inquiries. Maintain grant files in an organized way. Schedule meetings upon the director’s direction. Work with community energy partners with regards to training and education.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect and compile all CREATE program data.
- Enter and process relevant documents in IRSC and CREATE resource management systems.
- Schedule events and meetings for CREATE and IRSC energy initiatives.
- Review and update reports and marketing material.
- Collaborate with community partners regarding energy and CREATE activities.
- Present and/or represent IRSC at relevant CREATE and Energy meetings, forums, and events.
- Complete all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree OR a minimum of two years administrative experience.
- Extensive proven clerical/office skills to include excellent system input.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work with a diverse student population.
- Ability to maintain strict accuracy regarding data collection.
- Possess excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of fifty (50) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary. IRSC expects its employees to follow proper safety standards while employed by the College.
