Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join our team. As a Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making processes. This is a key leadership role within the organization, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to stakeholders. Hotel or resort experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
-Manage the accounting department by providing leadership, mentoring and oversight.
- Manage all aspects of corporate accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and regulatory reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy
- Manage accounts receivable and collections processes
- Coordinate payroll activities and ensure timely processing- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital requirements
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and financial concepts
- Solid understanding of corporate accounting principles and regulatory reporting requirements
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial forecasting
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software systems
- Experience in public accounting is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present financial information to stakeholders
