Estimator

Position Summary:
The Estimator / Takeoff Specialist is responsible for reviewing architectural drawings and project documents to produce accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates. This role is critical in ensuring our bids are competitive, accurate, and aligned with customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze architectural plans, structural drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs.
• Prepare and submit accurate project estimates and bid proposals within deadlines.
• Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of estimates.
• Maintain organized project files, tracking project status and revisions.
• Communicate with general contractors, architects, and internal team members to clarify project details.
• Identify potential risks, missing information, and discrepancies in bid documents.
• Continuously improve takeoff processes to maximize efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in masonry, cast stone, concrete, or architectural products.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience with takeoff software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, or similar).
• Highly detail-oriented with strong math and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience in cast stone, precast concrete, or architectural building materials.
• Knowledge of CAD software or construction project management platforms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
