What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations position at Indiana Center for recovery?
We are looking for an experienced Director of Operations to organize and oversee the daily operations of multiple outpatient facilities throughout Indiana; specifically Fort Wayne, Lafayette, Carmel, Jeffersonville. You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people. The ideal candidate will be on the road visiting the locations.
The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many different kinds of operational activities. He/She must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the facility.
The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management to the organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company.
- Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.
- Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
- Manage and supervise BHT, Support, Admin, Kitchen, and Maintenance staff. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling, training, hiring, terminating, 90-day and annual reviews, performance improvement plans, and mediation.
- Work with the Admissions staff to schedule all transports, including, but not limited to, admissions, doctor appointments, discharges, events, and outings.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
- Act as lead "client-care officer" through direct contact with every client.
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
- Provide company trainings in all areas.
- Work alongside management to ensure company finances are in order, including approval of your department expenses. This includes ensuring that your departments remain within their allocated quarterly and annual budget.
- Stay in communication with referral sources and families.
- Be available to work on weekends, nights, and holidays. Must be available to work overtime when needed.
- Maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports that will be submitted upon request. Complete incident reports according to policy in a timely, accurate manner.
- Communicate with other staff as necessary to promote quality patient care
- Participate in maintaining clean, properly supplied and efficient work areas.
- Protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with the organization's privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a health care provider.
- Report any concerns regarding company policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or higher from accredited university or equivalent
- 5 year of experience working in Behavioral Health (Preferred)
- Knowledge of Accounting and Finance
- Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; respond well to questions; demonstrate group presentation skills; and participate in meetings.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of addictions and mental health complications.
- Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence and positive cultural identity
- Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose.
- Knowledge of the stages of alcohol and other drug withdrawals and ability to take appropriate action at each stage. Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
