What are the responsibilities and job description for the Representative Payee position at Indiana County Community Action Program?
This position is with a local agency in the Representative Payee Program. The Payee Specialist position is responsible for ensuring that the program clients' Social Security Administration benefits are used to pay for current needs such as food, clothing, shelter, utilities, dental and medical care and personal comfort items and any future needs of the client. The Payee Specialist must follow program and SSA guidelines and complete reports as required. Extensive computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is required with the willingness to learn agency database and program specific software. Must have a valid PA driver's license, reliable transportation and be willing to travel in Indiana County and other counties as required. Must have or be willing to obtain Act 33 and 34 clearances. EOE.
