What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst position at Indiana Members Credit Union?
Summary/objective
The Credit Analyst is a self-motivated individual responsible for the production of commercial credit analysis for new and existing loans. In addition, they are equally as responsible for the management of the IMCU Commercial Services portfolio. They work closely with loan officers, borrowers, and IMCU personnel to ensure rapid response to loan requests. Implements and follows loan review policy and accepted loan review standards.

- Responsible for accurately analyzing commercial credits as assigned by the Team Lead
- Maintain awareness of new and changing underwriting guidelines and industry regulations
- Prepares weekly and quarterly department reports
- Develop solid understanding of underwriting and tracking software
- Monitor weekly exception reports within the business loan portfolio
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the portfolio and members within a given relationship
- Work closely with Commercial Lenders to help structure deals and assess risks on new money requests as well as ongoing risks within their existing portfolios

Required education and experience
- College degree preferred with a background in business
- 2-5 years business experience underwriting commercial credits
- Baker Hill NextGen a plus but not required
- Working knowledge of business financial statements
- Microsoft Word and Excel, general knowledge
