Indiana Nephrology & Internal Medicine, P.C. is currently seeking a Front Office Receptionist prepared to meet the challenge of providing the best quality of patient care at our East location.
The Front Office Receptionist is responsible for the efficient functioning of physician offices through clinical and clerical support. Demonstrates and fosters a commitment to patient satisfaction and teamwork.
Duties:
- Welcome all patients, exhibiting excellent customer service skills
- Obtains authorization and signatures for HIPAA from completion of patient annual registration form.
- Schedules appointments and enters demographics, insurance information, appointment date and time into computerized scheduler.
- Assist in maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Collect co-payments, pre-payments, account balances.
- Records when appointments have been rescheduled, canceled, or reason for "no-shows”.
- Ensure that chart/patient is HIPAA compliant
- Open & distributes mail to appropriate physician.
- Prepare and send UPS.
- Enroll patients into MyChart.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and any required out-patient diagnostic testing.
- Answers and screens all incoming calls, directs caller to appropriate department or responds to inquiry.
- Assists with other medical office needs to include registering patients, checking patients in for their appointment, checking patients out from their appointment, receiving payments, co-payments, scanning insurance cards & picture ID’s into Practice Management System.
- Check in & out.
- Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Data Entry, scanning and faxing
- Charting and documentation
- Travel to satellite offices
- Assists with other medical office needs, including registering patients, check-in, check out, scanning insurance cards & picture IDs into Practice Management System
- Scanning medical records into the Acumen EPIC system.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
