Lead Caregiver

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others may be assigned.

• Must have a CDA, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Must be at least 18 years of age, (must be 21 years of age to work with infants)
• Prior Childcare experience preferred
• Must be CPR / First Aid certified - or willingness to obtain (must renew yearly)
• Knowledge of Paths to Quality, NAEYC, and Indiana licensing standards preferred. Willingness to learn is a must.
• Professional dress and appearance is a must.
• Must be competent in language arts and math.
• Ability to interact professionally with adults and children with a positive attitude.
• Maintain confidentiality on job related tasks.
• Must be willing to learn, set professional goals, and participate in job related training.Performance Responsibilities : Others may be assigned.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the classroom in a calm and consistent manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe classroom.
• Ensure the classroom meets all Paths to Quality, NAEYC, and Indiana State licensing standards. Classrooms must be in compliance at all times.
• Strictly adhere to Safe Sleep guidelines for Child Care Centers.
• Monitor student's progress; communicate milestones with parents.
• Administer record keeping on all children; including but not limited to daily records, monthly observations, and bi-annual progress reports.
• Use curriculum effectively and write lesson plans based on each child's ability and developmental level.
