General Summary
This position will help manage all phases of the admissions lifecycle for the doctoral programs including promotion, recruitment, yield, and enrollment. Under the direction of the Director of Admissions—Doctoral Programs, the Assistant Director is responsible for lead generation activities including business partnership development and maintenance, referral marketing, networking, and event marketing. This position will also assist in the promotion of graduate programs where graduate to doctorate bridge programs exist. The assistant director will meet with prospective students, effectively sell the doctoral programs to interested individuals, grow the enrollment pipeline, and work in conjunction with the office of doctoral programs to support the enrollment process. Database management, weekly reports, and goal attainment are expectations of this position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prospect new students through event marketing, corporate relationships, information meetings, referrals, and other marketing activities
- Assist with the development of feeder programs from colleges/university partners
- Identify target markets and community partnerships through market research, data analysis, and relationship cultivation to build a successful new student pipeline
- Provide prospects with a high-quality and personalized admissions experience
- Participate in on and off campus recruitment and yielding events
- Prepare weekly reports of activity and results
- Work collaboratively with the office of doctoral programs and other campus constituencies to ensure prospects and students receive a high level of service and support
- Attend and participate in doctoral program events, e.g. residency weekends
- Participate in weekly department meetings and work collaboratively with the College of Business
- Support the vision and policies of the doctoral programs and Indiana Tech
- Adhere to all state and federal accreditation and Institute rules and regulations regarding student recruitment
Qualifications
- Earned master’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Possess a strong knowledge of Indiana Tech graduate and doctoral programs and competitor offerings to effectively advise prospective students
- Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management skills
- Competitive, goal-oriented work ethic
- Proficient computer skills (Slate CRM, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email) in a PC Windows-based environment.
Experience
- Five years of work experience in a goal-oriented environment preferred
- Three years of successful experience in a high-volume sales or relationship-building role
