Department Specific Responsibilities
- Manages office communications, schedules meetings and events, maintains records, and provides logistical support for diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Manages day-to-day office operations for the Office of Student Life and Campus Diversity and the Multicultural Center.
- Handles phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
- Maintains organized digital and physical records, files, and documentation.
- Assists with logistical planning and coordination for campus events, workshops, and cultural celebrations.
- Reserves spaces, manages equipment needs, and helps with event setup and breakdown as needed
- Manages calendars for the Office of Student Life and Campus Diversity, and the Dean of Students.
- Schedules meetings and appointments, including coordinating space and materials.
- Prepares agendas and take meeting minutes when necessary.
- Serves as the first point of contact for the office, providing excellent customer service.
- Assists with the development of newsletters, reports, and campus announcements.
- Provides administrative support to student organizations and leaders.
- Assists with the purchasing for student organization on-campus events.
- Coordinates event / facility scheduling for various student clubs on campus by assisting with major event coordination and implementation.
- Tracks office and event-related expenses and process purchase orders.
- Assists with budget reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Maintains inventory of office supplies and event materials.
- Works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to advance campus diversity efforts.
- Participates in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
