Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, the Associate Vice President for Financial Enterprise Engagement has the responsibility for leading and supporting the IU Finance 2030 Initiative (the "Initiative"), which is a long-term plan to modernize IU's overall financial operations and systems to align them with the needs of a multi-billion dollar, Big Ten public higher education institution with multiple R1 campuses. The goal of the Initiative is to create a culture of fiscal responsibility and accountability to ensure the financial health and strength of IU now and in the future.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Works with VPCFO team members, other University Administration units and leaders, campus leaders (both academic and administrative), outside consultants, and other IU stakeholders engaged in the financial operations of the institution.
- Leads specific projects involving the Initiative and building a communication strategy supporting the Initiative.
- Reviews of procurement / purchasing operations, policies, practices, structure, etc.
- Supports and manages Internal Audit findings around Independent Contractors, Capital Planning and Facilities, and Accountable Plan changes lead by UCO, UBO and PSO.
- Serves as the point person for Internal Audit findings and work with other AVPs to develop responses and integrate them into the Initiative.
- Creates and implements a new oversight, management, and financial structure for Crimson Card.
- Leads analysis of institutional aid review requested by the President.
- Reviews and makes recommendations for VPCFO policies.
- Reviews, with the support of IUHR, overall benefits to employees and possible cost savings to IU.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Work Location
Indianapolis, Indiana and / or Bloomington, Indiana.
Travel to all IU campuses is expected.
Advertised Salary
200,000 - $225,000, depending upon qualifications.
