Financial Compliance Coordinator (Research Compliance Assistant)

Job Summary

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Manages OCR Financial Compliance group email inbox and process various requests per SOPs.
  • Manages OCR Study Intake process in REDCap (average of 550 submissions annually) to ensure submissions are complete.
  • Collects additional study documents and follow-up on incomplete new study submissions; Follows-up and collects final study documents (Consent / Contract) for Senior Analyst final review to ensure studies are assigned and move through the review and approval process.
  • Provides clinical research banking information to sponsors through secure channels as requested (average of 150 submissions / annually) and required by Treasury.
  • Manages REDCap projects and create reports from OnCore / REDCap to track OCR financial compliance team and individual metrics for leadership.

General Responsibilities

  • Provides experienced administrative support to assist research compliance efforts.
  • Ensures compliance program quality assurance protocols are followed for proper record-keeping and accurate data collection and other administrative activities.
  • Maintains a complex data base; ensures data is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Processes and prepares various research reports (such as submissions and approvals of research studies).
  • Appropriately responds to various administrative inquiries.
  • May provide guidance or lead less experienced compliance staff.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
  • Preferred

  • Associate's degree
  • WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years of office experience, including database administration
  • Preferred

  • Office management and / or records management experience

  • Working Conditions / Demands

    This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

    Indianapolis, Indiana

    This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
