The Customer Services Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to members of our community who park in various garage facilities on campus. This position is highly visible and requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain professional in all situations.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and resolves visitors or permit holder issues in garage facilities at exit lanes, entry lanes, or the Automatic Pay Station (APS) machines
- Issues electronic billings to customers when equipment issues cannot be resolved, or the customer is unable to make payment
- Serves as basic technical support of equipment in garage locations and immediately report unresolved equipment issues to PTS equipment support team or supervisor
- Provides guidance and solutions to the vendor managing overflow customer calls as necessary
- Serves customers of large special events on campus as necessary
- Performs minor technical work, maintains electronic equipment
- Performs preventive maintenance, makes minor repairs and performs upgrades to various systems in order to maintain optimal performance, reliability, and accuracy of the data produced by instrumentation
- Assists customers with tech support
- Maintains service and repair records for all applicable equipment
- Reports higher level issues to higher level technicians
- Keeps up with the latest technology; makes informed recommendations to leadership
- Provides customer service to visitors
EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Experience of electronics design, modification, troubleshooting, and repair

- Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by Indiana University upon date of hire
