Department-Specifics Responsibilities
- Builds, cultivates, and maintains relationships with employers across a variety of industries.
- Identifies potential employers and engage them in on-campus recruitment efforts, internships, co-op programs, and job placements.
- Strategizes and coordinates targeted employer outreach efforts based on industry trends and student career interests.
- Plans, manages, and executes on-campus recruiting events such as job fairs, networking events, and employer information sessions.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for employers visiting campus to recruit students.
- Partners with academic units and departments to integrate employer engagement into program curricula where possible and career development initiatives.
- Collaborates with faculty, career advisors, and student organizations to connect employers with the campus community.
- Works closely with the Campus Career Services team to ensure a seamless process for employers seeking talent and students pursuing opportunities.
- Stays informed on local, regional, and national employment trends to better understand the evolving needs of employers.
- Analyzes data on employer engagement, job placements, and student outcomes to inform recruitment strategies and enhance employer services.
- Maintains databases and track recruitment outcomes to ensure quality service to both students and employers.
- Develops strategies to market recruitment programs and opportunities to employers and students.
- Regularly communicates with employers through newsletters, email campaigns, and other digital platforms to keep them informed of opportunities to engage with the university.
- Promotes the university's brand and student talent to external employers, positioning the university as a top source for recruitment.
- Cultivates and maintains relationships with employers across various industries. Leads targeted outreach efforts to engage employers in recruitment, internship, and co-op programs.
- Plans and manages on-campus recruitment events, including job fairs, networking sessions, and employer information presentations. Serves as the primary point of contact for employers visiting campus for recruitment purposes.
- Partners with faculty, career advisors, and student organizations to connect the campus community with external employers. Facilitates seamless collaboration between career services and employers to support students' career paths.
- Monitors local, regional, and national employment trends to adjust recruitment strategies. Analyzes data on employer engagement, job placements, and student outcomes to inform decisions.
- Serves on various community and institutional committees to build partnerships across the university and among comparable universities to build knowledge base.
- Develops marketing strategies to promote recruitment programs and opportunities to both employers and students. Enhances employer engagement through regular communications, including newsletters and email campaigns, while promoting the university's brand.
- Assists in the process of collecting and tracking data for office assessment purposes. Utilizes data to assist in the creation of office objectives and goals to meet the needs of the student population.
- Works through issues with a variety of stakeholders: students, employers, alumni, and faculty. Identifies and capitalizes on connections between groups of stakeholders and leverage those connections in unique ways through events and interactions.
- Provides guidance and delegates administrative tasks to other career services staff.
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelors degree in related field
- Master's degree in related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 8 years in employer relations, career consulting, or related field
