Department Specific Responsibilities
- Makes recommendations to improve contract administration processes and policies to ensure efficiency and compliance in operations.
- Maintains various contract administration content (such as policies, guidelines, and/or processes) and updates as needed (may include web content).
- Creates and updates standard operating procedures.
- Manages and monitors research-related communications and tracking systems.
- Reviews incoming documents, responds to external inquiries, requests and gathers documentation from departments and external agencies to assist with problem-solving, as necessary.
- Ensures timely and efficient flow of information in connection with contracts and other types of agreements.
- Solicits annual recruitment of students and faculty.
- Schedules PI, co-PI and faculty meetings.
- Tracks and monitors annual completion of training for all student and faculty participants.
- Administers evaluation survey instruments
- Outcomes assessment of survey instruments and grant aims milestones; data collection, synthesis, analysis.
- Monthly reporting to key stakeholders.
- Annual reporting to NIH program officers.
- Administers intramural IM111 research credits and research honors notification for student participants.
- Administers continuing education credits for faculty participants.
- Liaises with business office to ensure appropriate student stipend and faculty incentive disbursements.
- Creates, organizes, and monitors student faculty mentoring teams.
- Organizes seminar presentation schedules.
- Assists in student writing teams and skills development programs for students and faculty.
- Prepares records of program activities; oversees and ensures the timely processing and delivery of required materials.
- Reviews the policies and procedures involved in departmental programs; suggests improvements; and ensures that rules comply with university standards.
- Analyzes data and information generated or produced by program; writes reports and other written materials based on this data.
- Verifies the accuracy of all data and information used or generated by program; resolves any discrepancies or problems.
- Responds to requests for program information by staff, students, and faculty; handles any necessary correspondence.
- Serves as liaison for department; coordinates activities and exchanges information.
- Conducts research and compiles materials and information for departmental programs.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
