Responsibilities/Requirements
- Provide safe and timely transportation for our students at Eastern Hancock Schools.
- Maintain clean and mechanically-sound bus at all times.
- Obey all traffic laws.
- Perform pre and post trip inspections of the bus each day.
- Follow assigned route and time schedule. Notify transportation office of any changes.
- Drivers are required to attend an annual safety meeting and any safety meeting necessary throughout the year.
- Follow district policies found on corporation website.
- Follow safety plan and procedures in case of emergency.
- Proper moral conduct, language, and dress is to be maintained while involved in bus driving duties.
- Maintain confidentiality of all staff, students and families.
- Promote positive school culture.
- The use of tobacco is always prohibited on any school grounds, on school buses, and at any school-related events.
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation.
- Other duties as assigned by the transportation director.
- Indiana State School Bus (Yellow Card) for all student light routes.
- CDL license for buses over 15 passenger

- Balance rolls into sick days July 1
