We seek a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Staff Worker to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children in a licensed child care facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy kitchen environment while adhering to all regulatory agency guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Prepare all meals and snacks following issued menus and directives.
- Keep accurate records including inventory and production records.
- Comply with all Center regulations and guidelines.
- Comply with all regulatory agency guidelines and regulations.
- Wash kitchenware and tableware.
- Keep kitchen, appliances, etc. clean, sanitized, and in good working condition.
- Complete accurate food order requests and grocery shopping as needed.
- Inventory food supply, reporting food supply needs to the Associate Director.
- Report to the Associate Director any maintenance or non-food supply needs in the kitchen.
- Assist with ordering supplies if requested.
- Properly store food and non-food supplies upon delivery.
- Keep all food items stored properly and at the appropriate temperature.
- Date all food items.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent plus professional experience in food service and/or nutrition.
- Preferred: five years professional experience in food service and/or nutrition.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Ability to reach over head.
- Good personal hygiene (clean clothes, hair, hands, nails, etc.).
- Ability to bend down.
- Finger dexterity.
- Ability to read and understand all documents.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to remain calm in crisis situations.
