Job Summary
East Tenth United Methodist Children & Youth Center is now hiring a Full-Time Early Childhood Educator to work in our NAEYC Accredited Center! We are an Early Head Start Child Care Partner and a Level 4 Paths to Quality Provider on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis seeking passionate and energetic educators with strong communication skills to join our team.
Applicants will be responsible for providing developmentally appropriate learning experiences for the children and planning creative and engaging activities that promote the development of the whole child. Applicant will be responsible for providing a nurturing, clean and organized classroom environment. Experience with Creative Curriculum and Conscious Discipline are helpful.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a minimum of a CDA or an Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education. Classroom experience preferred. Applicant must have strong written and oral communication skills. Strong relationship building skills with both parents and children required.

The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of children and with assisting with the academic, physical, and social-emotional development of all children in their care, which may include infant, toddler and/or preschool aged children in a teamwork-based setting. The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for assuring compliance with codes of all state and local governing agencies, as well as Paths to Quality, NAEYC, Early Head Start, and all East Tenth UMCYC policies and procedures.
Education
High School Diploma required. CDA, Associates or Bachelors of Early Childhood Education required.
