Duties

  • Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for toddler age children
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress
  • Monitor and assess each child's individual needs and provide appropriate support
  • Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of the children

Skills

  • Classroom management: Ability to create a structured and engaging classroom environment
  • Early childhood education: Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Caregiving: Experience in providing care and support to young children
  • First aid: Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred
  • Behavior management: Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors in a positive manner
  • Toddler care: Experience working with toddlers and understanding their unique needs
  • Childhood development: Understanding of the stages of childhood development and how to support growth in each area
