Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Aide to join our preschool team. This part-time position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting our chefs and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
• Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure that all kitchen surfaces are sanitized and free of debris.
• Stocking Supplies:Help with inventory management by restocking kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed. Notify the kitchen manager of any shortages or needed items.
• Waste Management: Properly dispose of food waste and maintain recycling practices in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Adhering to Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
