Duties
- Plan and execute events from conception to completion, ensuring all aspects align with client expectations.
- Develop event proposals, budgets, and timelines; negotiate contracts with venues, caterers, and other service providers.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events through various channels, including social media and email campaigns.
- Manage logistics for events including venue selection, catering arrangements, audiovisual needs, and decoration.
- Provide on-site coordination during events to ensure everything runs smoothly and address any issues that arise.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to foster repeat business and referrals.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess successes and areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning or coordination, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent negotiation skills for securing contracts with vendors and venues.
- Experience in event marketing and fundraising is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction throughout the planning process.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
- Proficient in using event management software and tools.
