What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Sales Representative position at Indigo Signs?
Summary
The primary role for this position is to identify, consult, and sell all aspects of signage-service within a defined territory. This role requires consistent night patrolling of said defined territory and proactively seeking service-sales opportunities that align with Indigo Signs service initiative.
The incumbent of this position must be proficient in forward facing customer interface skills coupled with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose signage failures, and in turn, be able to communicate solutions back to the client in the form of service solutions. Additionally, the incumbent must be motivated to work on their own and as part of a team. Strong communication skills are a necessary part of this position.
Essential Functions
- Maintain strong lines of communication with client, service technician staff and Service Manager and promptly answer messages/questions. Accurately relay project details to sales staff and customers
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and maintain accurate, written schedules reflecting all service commitments to achieve project deadlines
- Consult with sales and install staff provides accurate estimates of labor time and sets realistic deadlines
- Lead generation, inside sales and account management
- Adhere to industry standard safety practices. Operate all tools and equipment according to specified safety requirements
- Present and maintain a good driving record. Safely operate all vehicles and promptly report any incidents/infractions
- Travel is primarily localized during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected
Qualification Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license
- Perform tasks involving physical labor on projects
- Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude skills related to signage and electrification is preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Highly motivated, self-directed, multi crafted worker who can work independently and, in a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds
- General knowledge & operation of all lighting components and sign related electrical connections
- Ability to identify problems and potential root causes, and explain potential solutions
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required (e.g. lock out / tag out, high voltage electrical)
- Knowledge and operational abilities associated with the current ERP / CRM systems for data capture, work order generation and work order close-out (billing)
- Familiar with use of bucket and crane trucks
- Ability to work under pressure to output high-volume, high-quality work
- Proper handling of Hazardous Materials (lamps, neon and power supply disposal)
