Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caretaker to provide high-quality support and assistance to an individual in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of caregiving, including dementia care, and long-term care. This role requires a commitment to maintaining the dignity and rights of the resident while ensuring their comfort and safety. Also includes lite cleaning duties & laundry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to resident by assisting with daily living activities such as reminding them to take their medication, reminding resident to bath, reminding resident to dress, and groom themselves.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for resident.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for the resident, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Wash laundry every 2 weeks or as needed
- Respect resident rights and promote independence while ensuring their safety
- Document care provided and any changes in resident's conditions
Requirements
- Experience in dementia care, or long-term care is preferred.
- CPR certification is a plus, demonstrating readiness for emergency situations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to empathize with the elderly and their families.
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization within the caregiving environment.
- Understanding of resident rights and advocacy for their needs is crucial.
