What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemical Field Operator I position at Indorama Ventures AlphaPet, Inc.?
- Time: Full time, Wage, Works 12 hour rotating shifts every 2 weeks from 7 to 7, two weeks on days and two weeks on nights
- Qualification/Education: High School diploma or GED. Must be able to follow directions, be reliable and dependable, heavy lifting, bending, stooping and kneeling.
- Experience: One (1) year of Process Industrial experience required. Process Technology and Industrial Quality Control Experience desired.
Job Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, rules, and regulations set forth by the company.
- Must follow Plant and Personal Safety Programs and Safe Work Practices. Individual will not take unnecessary risks to complete job assignments. Ensure safe work and operation of equipment is being performed properly.
- Follow all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Quality and Food safety guidelines and PRD/SOPs set forth by the company.
- Be the example of safety, quality and positive attitude. Conducting self professionally with coworkers and management.
- Interface with plant engineers and management on shutdowns and special projects.
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions and procedures that may be given by management.
- Responsible caring out all routine or non-routine activities as requested by management.
- Must be able to work from various heights and with hot material.
- Responsible for monitoring all plant conditions throughout the shift and reporting any abnormalities to immediate supervisor.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work area.
- Responsible for following all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and push 100lbs.
- Must gain an in depth knowledge of the manufacturing practices set forth by the company and the job requirements of the Process Department.
- Will convey problems within Process Operations to the Sr. Process Supervisor and Process Management and follow up to see that issues are corrected.
- Responsible for reporting problems with equipment and operations. Also responsible for LOTOTO (Lock out Tag out Try Out) of equipment, hot/safe work permits and confined space permits.
- Must maintain accurate and organized records of jobs performed and ensure they are completed following the SOP set forth by the company.
- Must be able to work in a team environment. Must follow Plant and Personal safety Programs and Safe Work Practices. Individual will not take unnecessary risks to complete job assignments. Ensure safe work and operation of equipment is being performed by crew members.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Other requirements that may be assigned by management.
