What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Mechanical Excellence Engineer position at Indorama Ventures?
As a Maintenance Specialist at Indorama Ventures - Indovinya, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our rotating and fixed equipment across various sites.
You will provide technical guidance and support to all sites on rotating and fixed equipment-related matters, including mechanical failures, turbomachinery issues, reliability improvements, capital projects, and turnarounds.
Your expertise will be invaluable in driving long-term equipment availability and performance, while also adhering to our integrated management system's safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality, and responsible care requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to all Indovinya sites on rotating and fixed equipment-related matters.
- Support all Indovinya sites with mechanical related failures, turbomachinery issues, reliability improvements, capital projects, and assistance during turnarounds.
- Work with the Indovinya procurement group on mechanical services and equipment initiatives.
- Support site efforts to continually improve the long-term equipment availability and performance of rotating and fixed assets.
- Follow instructions and perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Ensure that activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality, and responsible care requirements).
- Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
- Assist other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follow instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
- Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participate in and complete company required training programs.
- Engineering Degree Required. BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant maintenance/engineering experience in a process industry such as petrochemical plant, chemical plant, or refinery required.
- Minimum of 10 years turbomachinery experience preferred.
- Must have ability to obtain a TWIC card.
- Must have a level of proficiency with internet, email, and Microsoft programs.
- SAP or similar CMMS experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
- Individual must be action oriented and have good problem-solving skills in order to make timely and effective decisions.
- Individual must be able to adequately plan and prioritize his/her work processes to effectively meet customer expectations and resolve conflicts within a timely manner.
- Individual must have strong leadership skills and be capable of directing others and informing management on status of his/her work.
- Good communication and diplomacy skills as this position will work with employees at all levels and at multiple sites.
