As a summer intern in our chemical plant operations team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in chemical process engineering support. Our team is dedicated to providing sustainable and high-value solutions for the long-term success of our customers.
The internship period runs from May to August, depending on the school calendar. After initial orientation, interns will be assigned to either Project Engineering or Reliability Engineering area. As a chemical process engineering support specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to assigned areas.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about chemical engineering and has excellent communication skills. If you are a junior or senior-level college student currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, we encourage you to apply.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
- You must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require work authorization sponsorship for this position or in the future.
- You must possess or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card.
- You must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Microsoft programs, and analytical software.
- You should have knowledge of the basic principles and methods used in chemical plant manufacturing and analysis.
- You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You should have strong planning and organizational skills.
- You should be able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
- You should be able to solve complex problems and identify the appropriate resources.
- You should be able to build relationships across all organizational lines.
- You should develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Proficiency in process simulation programs is preferred.
