Title : RF Engineer or RF Design Engineer or Radio Frequency Engineer
Location : Folsom, CA or Fresno / Bakersfield, CA
Working Model : Hybrid
Duration : 12 Months
Two positions open - 1 position for Folsom, CA 1 position preferred for Fresno / Bakersfield, CA, also would accept for Folsom, CA
Responsibilities :
- Targeted Years of Experience : 5-7 years
- Create site design RFDS and complete plumbing diagrams.
- Perform radio engineering evaluations for system planning and site acquisition.
- Evaluate coverage problems and requirements for coverage and capacity cells.
- Utilize propagation tools and other RF related equipment such as MapInfo, Google Earth, ATOLL, propagation and coverage review and selection, zoning and regulatory.
- Determination of regulatory coverage boundaries for extensions, FAA / FCC filings.
- Review of cell sites and design for upgrades / modifications.
- Creates search areas and reviews search area candidates within geographic area by taking into consideration performance issues, capacity, topography, and population.
- Working with the performance team to improve Key Performance Indicators within the area of interest.
- Prepare necessary zoning justification packages and regulatory filings for sites.
- Works closely with real estate team to increase efficiency, minimize cost, and streamline processes related to site acquisition, leasing, and zoning submissions.
- Conduct RFE analysis, generate required reports and documents, and ensure 100% compliance to RFE mitigation standards within the allotted time frame.
- Determine the required antennas for planned frequencies and their optimal positions.
- Determine the required cable, antennas, and equipment to implement macro and small cell wireless network clusters.
- Automate processes when opportunities arise and share information with the teams.
- Knowledge of RF theory and practice, as well as 5G and LTE / VoLTE technology.
- Experience in design & optimization of 5G and LTE / VoLTE networks.
- Understanding of 5G and LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
