Position: Machine Operator
Location: Prineville, Oregon - 97754
Duration: 9 months
Shift: 1st: 5:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday
Pay rate: $20.00 on W2 (Without Benefits).
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up, adjust and operate an individual machine, work cell, or a position within a work center.
- Read process documentation to determine physical specifications and processing steps.
- Process transactions.
- Set-up and adjust equipment; understand drawings, change heads, inserts and other replacement tooling.
- Gather materials as needed for assembly of doors.
- Perform quality checks.
- Operates motorized equipment, (i.e. forklift, KVAL lifts, etc.) as needed.
- Perform minor preventative maintenance and operator care as required, i.e. oiling, minor tooling replacement.
- Assists Management, Maintenance, and Quality Personnel when trouble shooting equipment, process, or material issues.
- Communicate effectively for flow of doors
- Maintain downtime records and production information as appropriate.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Wear appropriate personal protection equipment.
- Work safely and follow safety rules and procedures.
- Work with over 60 lbs occasionally (up to 25% in an 8 hour day)
- Push/Pull 100 lbs w/ assistance seldom (up to 13% in an 8 hr day)
- Kneel/Squat occasionally (up to 25% in an 8 hour day)
- Stoop frequently (up to 67% in an 8 hour day)
- Twist occasionally (up to 25% in an 8 hour day)
- Stand in one spot for long periods
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Must have experience operating machines, have knowledge of the materials and products.
- Must know how to properly lock out/ tag out machine. Must be able to change bits, blades and drill bit.
- Must inform and report to maintenance and supervisor any issues that may occur to the machine.
- This position requires a high level of responsibility, and concentration to set up and run the machine properly, with a basic level of supervision.
