The successful candidate shall serve as the Executive Director of a 1956-founded trade association, serving the exclusive interests of the organized mechanical industry contractors in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The Executive Director shall serve at the pleasure of the Association's governing board (5 elected members) and to the same directors who serve on a sister corporation board (the Mechanical Industry Fund).

Primary Duties :
- Carry out the duties of the board of directors, focusing on managing the affairs of the Association.
- Serve as a liaison between the Association and its labor partner, U.P. Plumbers and Pipefitters, Local 111.
- Work with the Board on establishing and executing an annual budget.
- Serve as the industry representative with regional economic development and building and construction industry organizations.
- Collaborate with the board of directors—both individually and collectively—as they carry out their fiduciary duties to the Corporations.
- May serve on industry boards of directors as assigned by the board of directors (e.g., Fringe Benefit Board of Trustees, JATC, U.P. Construction Council, etc.).
