Job Description
Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange has an opening for an Executive Director of Athletics. This position will start July 1, 2025.
This full-time, exempt position oversees the athletic department's daily operations, including managing media relations, communications, fundraising, and annual budgeting for 28 varsity sports. Additional responsibilities include supervising, evaluating, and mentoring head coaches and athletic administrative staff.
The Executive Director will be the department's visionary and provide leadership to teams at all levels. Strategic planning for growth, efficiency, and increased revenue generation will be a central part of the job. This position requires high visibility and attendance at games, contests, and fundraising events. Nights, weekends and travel will be required.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of five years’ athletic leadership and head coaching experience required. Master’s degree preferred.
Salary Range: $110,000-$135,000 based on experience.
