Industrial Automation is looking for a Welder/Fabricator. We are an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) licensed by The Boeing Company to build mechanical and electrical aircraft maintenance tooling and equipment. Industrial Automation is a vertically integrated manufacturer with CNC machining, fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, calibration, and proof load testing. We are looking for an individual interested in a varied workload, a desire to learn and a team player. As we are not a production shop you will work welding/fabricating aluminum, stainless and steels.
Position Overview
The Welder works closely with QA, Assembly, and Machining to produce defect free parts in accordance with drawings and planning.

Position Overview
The Welder works closely with QA, Assembly, and Machining to produce defect free parts in accordance with drawings and planning.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate “fit-up” prior to weld.
- Weld to drawing specs and weld symbols.
- Perform visual inspections of completed welds.
- Work with the machine shop to provide support and ask for support.
- Keep paperwork organized and safe.
- Maintain equipment.
- Work with Production and Quality Assurance to assure a top-quality tool, both functionally and visually.
- Manage time efficiently.
- Attention to detail
- Two years of TIG and MIG welding experience.
- Strong aluminum welding experience.
- Ability to interpret drawings and read/comprehend work instructions.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Steel or composite toe shoes complying with current revision of ASTM F-2413.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
- High School graduation or GED required.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- 3-5 years’ welding experience preferable.
- AWS14.1 certification a plus
