What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Designer position at Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA)?
We're a leading heat transfer manufacturer known in the custom apparel world for doing things differently is looking for a designer who’s excited to shape the look and feel of our brand across everything from sample kits to swag, print ads to email banners, and everything in between.
In this role, you’ll craft visuals that excite, convert, and inspire — across every platform where our brand lives. You'll work hand-in-hand with Marketing to bring ideas to life, drive brand consistency, and ensure every visual touchpoint feels uniquely “us.”
This position is ideal for a multidisciplinary designer with a strong creative eye, excellent production skills, and the ability to juggle quick turnarounds with big-picture thinking. You’ll help shape everything from social carousels to direct mail to trade show displays and influencer kits. You’ll thrive in a fast-moving, hands-on environment where experimentation is encouraged and feedback is collaborative.
We Are Looking For
A sharp, imaginative designer with the intuition to know when to break the rules. You’re fluent in color, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy — and know how to adapt designs for both digital and physical formats. You think in systems, design with purpose, and geek out over clean files and smart mockups. You can translate creative strategy into polished assets, but you’re not above jumping into Canva or pulling a quick social gif together when needed.
You know that consistency doesn’t mean boring, and you can find new ways to express a brand’s identity while staying true to its core. You have a strong pulse on what’s happening in the design world, and you bring those insights into your work. Most of all, you’re a team player who loves to build and contribute to something meaningful.
