Purpose Of Position

The Manager of HR Systems and Technology, in collaboration with Director of Human Resources, will lead the strategic and operational management of all HR technology systems, including the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and other HR-related tools. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity, governance, and optimization of systems to support business needs, alongside delivering dashboards, analytics, and insights. Additionally, the Manager will oversee the implementation, project management, training, and support for all HR technology initiatives. This position ensures that HR systems are optimized to effectively support business needs, enhance employee experience, and streamline HR processes. The role requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive organizational success.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position may have direct supervisory responsibilities.
  • The position requires collaboration with other HR roles to ensure timely, accurate, and effective accomplishment of tasks. Additionally, this position serves as coach and mentor for other positions in the HR department.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with Director of HR to develop and execute a comprehensive HR technology strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Partner with HR, IT, and business leaders to identify technology needs and opportunities for improvement.

HR Systems Management

  • Administer and maintain the design, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of HRIS, ATS, and other HR technology systems.
  • Lead system configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance functionality and user experience across all HR technologies.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to integrate systems and processes effectively

Project Management and Implementation

  • Plan and execute HR technology projects, including new system implementations and integrations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on vendor selection, system integration, and change management.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Manage stakeholder communications.
  • Lead HR technology projects, including system upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
  • Create and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to meet project objectives.

Data Integrity and Governance

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure the accuracy, security, and compliance of HR data.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain data integrity and address discrepancies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data-related inquiries and reporting requests.

Dashboards and Analytics

  • Develop, deliver, and maintain dashboards that provide actionable insights into key HR metrics and trends.
  • Partner with HR leadership and business stakeholders to analyze data and support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations in all reporting activities.
  • Train stakeholders in accessing and interpreting HR analytics.

Training and Support

  • Design and deliver training to HR team members and end-users on system functionality and best practices.
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for HR systems, offering technical support and guidance, including system troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with IT and external vendors to provide ongoing support.

System Management

  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of HR systems, including but not limited to HRIS, ATS, LMS, performance management, and payroll systems.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all HR technologies.

Vendor And Stakeholder Relations

  • Build strong relationships with HR technology vendors and assist with negotiation of contracts to optimize ROI.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for system-related inquiries and escalations.

Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

  • In-depth knowledge of leading HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group), or Oracle HCM.
  • Knowledge of project management frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Ability to document technical requirements, workflows, and user guides effectively.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8 years of experience in HR technology or HRIS roles, including leadership positions.
  • Expertise in HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar platforms.
  • Strong project management skills with experience implementing complex systems.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel).
  • Deep understanding of HR processes and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and driving technology adoption.
  • Strong project management skills to lead and implement compensation and benefits initiatives, such as annual compensation reviews, benefits program updates, or system implementations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
