Job Description :
The top priorities of this position will be to support operations in delivering quality products on time and to the customer's requirements. It will require learning and understanding electrical and mechanical design, assembly processes, and test requirements. The candidate will design and document processes, tooling, and assembly fixtures to meet engineering drawing requirements. The candidate will also identify and propose cost savings, solve problems, and quickly respond to process and quality issues. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively with the other departments and possess good verbal and written English skills. The performance will be measured by the ability to work with others, managing commitments including timely project completion, and annual cost savings.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Tooling and Process
- Design or source, verify, and implement tooling for assembly.
- Create new or update existing process instructions.
- Develop assembly line process documentation (specification, work instructions, etc.).
- Keep assembly processes and tooling fixtures up to date.
- Manage new product launches into production.
- Identify and Support cost reduction initiatives with the process and tooling improvement.
