Overview

The Industrial Fumigant Company (IFC), a division of Rollins Inc., has been a leading provider of Pest Management and Consultation Services to the Food and Commodity Industries for over 85 years!

IFC is seeking a professional to support its compliance initiatives in a heavily regulated industry. As a Risk and Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance through plan preparation and working directly with the Risk and Compliance Manager and Field Managers in all aspects of regulatory affairs and policy advocacy.

 




Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Risk and Compliance Coordinator based out of our Lenexa Kansas Office.

 

The Risk and Compliance Coordinator will assist the field operations for all regions. The ideal candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to handle confidential information, and have a demonstrated ability to respond to changing workloads, priorities, and processes. Must have the ability to communicate clearly and to manage multiple assignments and people simultaneously. This position also assists with ensuring the company is compliant with all applicable regulations related to the company operations and helps ensure the timely completion of regulatory functions as needed.

 

In this role, you will...

  • Direct, coordinate and perform compliance audits on regulatory programs internally
  • Work directly with IT to improve current processes and programs
  • Ensure that certifications, permits and licensing are current and that the business is prepared for
  • renewals, including: 
    • Department of Transportation 
    • Occupational Safety and Health Administration(OSHA)
    • State Pesticide Licensing
    • Other applicable federal and state programs
  • Prepare, schedule, ship to include dropping off at local facility and track all mail/packages.
  • Print, assemble and ship Stewardship packets, Hospital packets, DOT notebooks, Accident packets and all other requested items.
  • Schedule, monitor completion, and file DOT Recertification Exams and OSHA Questionnaires
  • Assist the Risk and Compliance Manager with preparing for annual compliance meetings to include: Hotel contracts, food, hotels, flights and all necessary supplies.  
  • Track and order all necessary supplies needed in the department.
  • Conduct new employee onboarding training via TEAMS
  • Represent the company in policy advocacy activities at the state and federal levels
  • Collaborate with the Risk and Compliance Manager on compliance activities and policies

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
  • Time-management skills are essential; must possess a natural sense of urgency and work well with pressure and deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter and able to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and adaptive to change
  • Possess a high level of ingenuity
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with all levels of employees and customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and advanced computer literacy skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis
  • The physical demands described below must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this role - Requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending
  • Live within the general region of the corporate office with expected travel in state and out of state (including overnight) as needed (anticipate 20%)
  • Schedule: In office M – F 8am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch

 

Qualifications:

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in Pest Control, Transportation and/or Safety is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge and the ability to comply with federal, state, local and company safety regulation requirements of OSHA, EPA and DHS.
  • Knowledge and ability to oversee and ensure compliance with all tasks associated with: FMCSA, DOT and PHMSA to include:
    • Driver Qualifications – Medical Cards/Physical. CDL. Annual Driving Records
    • Driver Training – DOT regulations, HAZMAT training (all areas required for our industry)
    • Driver Records – Processing employment applications, DOT required documents, company policies, criminal background, DOT drug and alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Knowledge preferred but not required in vehicle, passenger, and employee accident/incidents to include:
    • Investigating, determination of cause, preventability and identifying potential trends
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and detail work standards
  • Be comfortable speaking in a public setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications and other computer software systems
  • Excellent Communication Skills both verbally and in written form
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure and operating manuals and state regulations
  • Employees will be required to possess the ability and aptitude to perform the duties proficiently
  • Ability to positively react to change in environment, process, and people
  • Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups
  • Good driving record and the ability to pass a drug screen
  • Meet physical job requirements and safely perform job duties with or without accommodations
  • College degree preferred, but not necessary
