Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will handle a broad range of HR responsibilities including managing the hiring process, onboarding, assisting with employee concerns, managing benefits, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and labor laws. Your role, also, involves performing tasks with a focus to grow our company’s talent pool and enhancing our sourcing strategies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting prescreening interviews, and coordinating new hire onboarding.
- Maintain Applicant Tracking system
- Facilitate new hire orientations and ensure all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist in administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, and other benefits.
- Serve as the liaison between employees and benefits providers to resolve issues and provide support during open enrollment.
HR Compliance:
- Regularly demonstrate knowledge of federal and state employment regulations.
- Assist HR Director in ensuring organization is compliant with all federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Assist in HR projects, like collection of employee feedback, I-9 audits
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with internal policy and legal requirements.
- Staying up-to-date on changes in HR regulations
HRIS & Reporting:
- Manage and update employee data in the HRIS system.
- Generate and analyze HR-related reports, matrix’s, including turnover, and days to fill
- Assist in completions of governmentally mandated reports like EEO-1, and Vets 100 reporting.
Policy Development:
- Support HR team in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies.

Skills & Abilities:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or relevant field will be a plus.
Experience: Two to three years related experience.
Computer Skills:
- High level computer & analytical skills are required, including expert usage of Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access) and the ability to quickly learn new software.
- Ability to work with ATS software
- Depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities
- Experience with Sage HRMS a plus.
