Position: Lab Technician
Industrial Inspection & Analysis/Tribologik Corporation seeks an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and career-minded Lab Technician for its fluid analysis laboratory in Hammond, IN.

We provide testing services to military, industrial, transport, and natural resource companies globally. Industrial Inspection & Analysis/Tribologik are technological leaders in fluid analysis, equipped with modern lab instruments and a proprietary expert system.
The Candidate:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in testing lubricating oils, fuels, and coolant.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry preferred
- Mechanical inclination is an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership and entrepreneurial energy, proactive in issue resolution.
- Ability to identify and focus on problem areas, initiating steps for resolution.
- Detail-oriented, creative, resourceful, efficient, with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with good interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer literacy, able to exchange ideas effectively.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Analyze industrial, mobile equipment, fuel, and coolant samples to determine fuel quality.
- Perform fuel sample analyses using various laboratory instruments according to ISO and ASTM test methods.
- Verify accuracy of test reports and improve testing procedures as needed.
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and calibration of instruments according to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and company Quality Control System.
- Conduct research and development, create case studies as required.
- Lead, manage, train, and support a team of laboratory technicians across shifts.
- Review, improve, and validate existing analytical test methods for efficiency and compliance.
- Report to operation manager, develop and implement new testing methods as per customer requirements.
- Manage ISO17025 audits, certification, and accreditation.
- Provide technical assistance to sales and customer services, answer customer queries.
- Implement corrective actions, including root cause analysis.
Conditions:
- Full-time position: Immediate availability.
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, additional hours as required.
- Hourly rate: Based on qualifications and experience.
- Expected hours: 40 per week
