Industrial Power Solutions is seeking a Project Accountant to support our construction and manufacturing operations. This position is critical to ensuring the financial success of projects from kick-off through closeout. We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional ready to take ownership of full-cycle project accounting in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Accounting
Set up and maintain projects in Foundation and ProNovos
Track customer documentation and manage customer setup
Monitor prelims, COIs, tax certificates, and bonding requirements
Oversee project lifecycles, from kickoff to closeout
Handle indirect charge-outs, job reviews, cost transfers, waivers, and reporting
Provide accurate job costing and maintain open commitment records
Accounts Receivable
Prepare and submit AR invoices (including Textura)
Manage collections in partnership with Project Managers
Process cash receipts and handle retention oversight
Maintain waiver documentation and AR reports
General Accounting Support
Support Foundation and ProNovos systems - Similar to Procore*
Assist with purchasing, PO generation, internal audits, and statement reconciliations
Train new staff in project-related accounting responsibilities
Special Projects
Participate in high-impact initiatives as directed by company leadership
High Payoff Activities (Core Focus Areas)
Project setup and maintenance
Project billing
Project collections
Project costing
Project reporting and analytics
Allocations and rates
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Four or more years of progressive accounting experience in construction industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Planner
Strong communication and data visualization skills
Advanced Excel capabilities
Preferred
Four or more years of construction accounting experience
Experience with Foundation or Spectrum software
Work Environment
This position operates primarily in an office setting, with occasional visits to job sites. Field visits may expose the employee to varying weather conditions, construction noise, and uneven surfaces.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, walk, stand, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Visual and auditory acuity required for safe work and clear communication
