What are the responsibilities and job description for the SERVICE WRITER position at Industrial Pumps of Alaska?
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Interaction:
o Greet customers, understand their concerns, and provide details about repair services.
o Communicate service options and costs, ensuring clarity for the customer.
2. Job Order Creation:
o Document and create job orders based on customer information and the pump repair needs.
o Detail the scope of work for technicians, including the specific pump types and issues.
3. Coordination and Scheduling:
o Schedule repair work and manage workflow for the repair technicians.
o Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
4. Parts Ordering:
o Ensure necessary parts for the pump repair are ordered and available.
o Keep track of inventory and ensure parts are in good condition.
5. Estimates and Billing:
o Provide customers with repair estimates and seek approval before proceeding with work.
o Process invoices for completed jobs and handle billing inquiries.
6. Customer Follow-Up:
o After repairs are done, follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any further concerns.
