Industrial Sales Trainee – ISU IL
Overview:
Industrial Solutions Illinois is a full-service distributor and fabricator specializing in conveyor belting, machined parts and field service work for the manufacturing industry. ISU is a medium sized, niche company in growth mode with locations in IL, WI and MO. We are looking for some well-rounded, highly motivated, mechanically sound individuals to join our passionate team and grow with us. The right candidate will be motivated to learn all aspects of our business and truly learn from the ground up. This unique 12-16-month program starts with learning and understanding all facets of ISU shop fabrication, shipping/receiving, operations and paperwork procedures and Field Service Installation work.
Job Description:
As the Industrial Sales Trainee, you will learn our business from the ground up training in all divisions of our company with a major focus on learning the fabrication, operational and installation portion of our business initially. This job will report to our West Chicago branch (Monday through Friday schedule) and will also require training with one of our field service teams performing 24/7 off hour/weekend installation work at our customer sites. The program will then evolve into some inside sales and customer service work with the ultimate goal of joining our Industrial Sales team once a sound foundation is established.
Must Have the Following Qualifications:
- Detail Oriented with superior organizational skills
- College degree preferred
- Mechanical skills preferred
- Solid math skills with ability to read a tape measure
- Self-motivated
- Patience and willing to learn all aspects of our business
- Positive Attitude
- Works Well with others
- Ability to Work Independently While Following Written Standard Operating Procedures
- Valid Driver License and Insurance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software a plus
Day to Day Duties To Include But Not Limited To:
Training program- Learning all facets of the ISU business
o Fabricating Conveyor belting in our production shop.
o 24/7 Field Service installation Work at our customer sites
o Shipping/Receiving
o Helping with vendor and customer deliveries
o Customer service and Inside Sales training
o Learning and understanding our internal processes and work order flow

Pay based on experience
