We have an opportunity for an entry level Account Executive/Outside Sales position for the Richmond, VA area and surrounding markets. This position does require some experience in an Outside Sales role, along with knowledge of sales and Microsoft software applications, strategies and market research.
Responsibilities:
- Generate new business with new and existing customers
- Ensure technical requirements for customers are met
- Assist with on-site troubleshooting of customers' concerns
- Routinely interact face-to-face with customers to foster strong relationships and build confidence
- Work with local customers to identify, quote, engineer, and close product and solution sales
- Provide technical support as required
- Provide business planning to reach product and sales goals
- Work with and coordinate vendor resources to build relationships and support sales
- Completing reports regarding itineraries, expenses, sales calls and leads
- Maintain appropriate relationship with key suppliers.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Team oriented, outgoing, positive personality with superior problem-solving skills
- Travel to customers
- Work experience in Microsoft Office; proficiency in Excel
- Ability to multitask and manage time well
- Make quick sound decisions and “think out of the box” mentality
- Driver’s License, with a good driving record, and dependable transportation
- Business or related degree a plus
This will be a salary plus commission position. Company provides major medical insurance, term life insurance, and 401K. We have an aggressive compensation / commission plan for the right candidate. Pre-employment drug testing, physical and background check required.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
