What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Industrial Technical Services?
We are looking for a "Get It Done" person. Creative, action-oriented, problem solver to lead and execute the tracking and cost control process from client identification, budgets, payroll, client billing, project closeout, and cash flow.
The Controller is a key leadership team member. They will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining client relationships. They will be involved in the entire project life cycle from establishing the project documentation, project cost accounting controls, real-time construction cost controls, tracking percentage completion, time and materials associated with the project, providing status reports to project management, working with the client through successful project completion, invoicing and payment from satisfied clients. Additional responsibilities include managing labor costs, processing payroll and payroll taxes, and managing construction contracts and sub-contracts. They will need to develop and enforce internal controls to maximize the protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows. They will partner with the CFO concerning financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Our controller will need to implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation.
